SENCO Assistant/SEN Teaching Assistant – Wandsworth – September 2024 – Long-Term
At Clarus Education, we are working with a Junior School in Wandsworth who are looking to appoint someone who is passionate about SEN and is confident to fulfil administrative tasks.
The role is unique, as you will not just be office based, but you will also be engaging with SEN pupils to fulfil planned interventions and assessments.
This is a long-term contract, where you would be working from September 2024 through to July 2025, and if all is well, the SENCO is looking for an assistant who can continue working with them on a permanent basis Therefore, for the right candidate, you could potentially be offered a permanent role either before or after July 2025.
For this role, the SENCO is looking for someone with resilience, ability to use their initiative and can fully commit themselves to the role.
The Details:
Role: SENCO Assistant/SEN Teaching Assistant
Type of School: Junior School (Ages 7-11 years)
Contract: Long-term – Temp to Perm
Start Date: September 2024
End Date: July 2025
Pay: £85-100 per day
The Essentials:
• Be confident to work alongside an experienced SENCO
• Providing personalised support to SEN pupils
• Delivering planned interventions
• Completing formal SEN documentation
• Supporting the SENCO by reporting and gathering evidence towards EHCPs
• Graduates of 2:1 and above are ideal for this role
• Strong academics including GCSEs and A-Levels or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills
• Greeting professionals and parents to the SENCO’s office and around the school
• Being affable and personable
• Have or be willing to obtain an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS Certificate registered on the update service
