Our client is a market leader in delivering high-quality solutions across various industries, and they are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Mechanical Engineer to direct the development of product design solutions within their project team.
Key Responsibilities: As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Directing the development of product design solutions, overseeing the entire lifecycle from concept to production.
- Setting up and leading multi-disciplinary New Product Introduction (NPI) projects to document the requirements for mechanical design components.
- Providing technical leadership to other mechanical and CAD team members, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Developing prototypes to test and validate design assumptions, employing your expertise to optimize product performance.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components.
- Staying abreast of industry trends and advancements to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a lead mechanical engineer, demonstrating successful project delivery and team leadership.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Adept at working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Benefits:
- Salary up to £57,000 per annum, depending on experience.
