Job Title: Assistant Financial Controller
Location: Preston
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum based on experience
We are currently seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to join a family-run business to work closely with the Financial Controller in managing the day-to-day activities of the finance department.
As the Assistant Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the month-end process, preparing monthly management accounts, conducting monthly balance sheet reconciliations, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and managing the transactional finance team.
You will also assist with the annual audit and stock count, monthly payroll, quarterly VAT returns, and ONS reporting.
The ideal candidate will be an ACCA/CIMA newly qualified or finalist with experience in a varied accounting role in an SME business.
You must have experience working with stock and excellent Excel skills. We offer a competitive salary of up to £50k based on experience, study support if required, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, health care cash plan, staff discount, and hybrid working can be considered after an initial settling in period.
