Science Teacher

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated professional with drive and ambition to teach Science in our popular over-subscribed, mixed school of over 1300 students. We are committed to the highest of standards in all we do, and set ourselves challenging targets. We invest heavily in maintaining a high quality of teaching and learning which continues to impact upon the academic performance of our students.
Our aim is that all students achieve their full potential in every aspect of their school experience including our comprehensive range of curricular and extra-curricular subjects offered.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher, well qualified to teach Science at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. You will join a team of 17 teachers in a department that has 11 purpose-built laboratories. All KS4 students follow either the OCR Gateway combined science or separate sciences. We also have a large number of students who continue their studies on to A level.
We have a balance of specialist teachers in the department who teach across all key stages. This post would be suitable for an ECT. The school provides an extensive programme of support for early career teachers and many of our current staff completed their teacher training here.
