Job description

We have a requirement for a Structural Engineer based in Aberdeen. The role is outside IR35 and we invite Limited Companies to engage.

Our client is a global oil services company operates in 40 locations over 20 countries providing drilling services, well integrity & intervention, plug & abandonment and decommissioning to its upstream oil and gas clients.

Scope of Services:

Responsible for identifying and implementing solutions, production and checking of design deliverables, input to planning and progress reporting and producing detail design estimates and tendering.

Key requirements:

• Wide experience in offshore engineering preferably specific to drilling.
• Experience and competence with structural hand calculations to first principles
• Structural brownfield experience of offshore installations
• Knowledge and experience of applicable UK legislation and standards, European and International standards, offshore codes & standards
• Chartered Engineer membership
• Awareness of applicable design software packages
• Knowledge and experience of offshore drilling facilities
• Offshore survey experience and valid certificates
