Job description

Our client in Tamworth have an opportunity for a consultant only veterinary surgeon to join them (surgery time available if desired). The successful candidate will be happy with managing their own caseload and ideally be happy to help new graduate veterinary surgeons as and when they join the business.

Our client holds regular vet meetings where the large, very experienced team share caseload info and share clinical expertise and best practice. They have a varied caseload which includes:

• Orthopedic surgery,
• laparoscopic spay and laparoscopic biopsy,
• Soft tissue surgery,
• Ophthalmology
• Cardiology
• Dermatology
• Arthritis management
• Cancer treatment

Practice equipment includes:

• Digital x-ray,
• Ultrasound
• Large and small endoscope,
• Electrocautery,
• Cryotherapy,
• Ophthalmic loops,
• Dental equipment,
• Orthopaedic air-powered tools,
• Slit lamp,
• Tono pens and more.

The package for this roles includes, but is not limited to:

• Salary up to £68,000 plus £2k starting bonus or relocation
• 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays plus birthday off
• Professional fees paid
• Generous CPD budget
• Excellent career progression opportunities
