Pharmaceutical Director
Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Biotech Pilot Plant
This R&D Director vacancy at a new facility will play a key role in the project management and delivery of chemical, Pharmaceutical and biotech pilot plant and new IT systems which support product development, validation and governance.
Advise and direct the development and acquisition of laboratory, pilot plant and scale up equipment for R&D plant and chemical manufacturing.
Lead and advise IT Project Managers on the biotech and chemical information systems, influence the PMO, project risk management.
Write and approve technical submissions, process development reports and validation protocol documentation.
Communicate across a network of engineers, IT specialists, project managers, vendors and senior management at UK European level.
Project reporting to senior level including risk, budget, timelines, business case justification, and progress towards strategic objectives. Identify project risk, finding solutions and flagging or escalating as appropriate.
Skillsets
Demonstrated experience of leadership experience in Chemical, Biotech, Pharmaceutical or related Materials Science sectors.
Experience of IT systems development and or high level IT Project Management.
High level communication, influencing, relationship building and collaboration skills across a matrix of project managers, vendors, engineers and European management.
The ability to manage technical aspects and also reach project milestones on multiple fronts.
Understand user requirements of IT systems relating to chemical and biotech product development and process validation.
Experience of chemical and biotech process governance.
Demonstrated understanding of project management methodology for IT development.
Ability to understand large investment projects, influence project progress, and present reports to senior leadership teams at UK and European level.
Masters, MPhil or PhD in subjects like IT, Chemical, Chemistry or Engineering
