Job description
What you will do in your working day
Social media growth and maintenance
- Regularly post content on our social media platforms - LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram – for Voyager School Travel, COGO, Family Adventure Holidays
- Follow groups travelling with us, repost their trip experiences, like and share relevant content
- Suggest improvements to improve engagement and followers
- Monitor competitors and influencers for market insight and sharable content
- Share insights with the Sales teams e.g. if our schools are travelling with a competitor
- Manage and monitor paid social media campaigns
Video and image creation
- Maintain the video and image library
- Create appealing and engaging video content for social, digital and PPC channels
- Edit and repurpose existing footage
- Use Canva/In Design to create animated content
Website updates
- Use the content management system to publish content to all company websites
- Collate and manage site improvements and content updates
- Brief the web agency to create templates, tools and assets which can’t be produced internally
- Review the sites to ensure that content is up to date and fully optimised
- Optimise new content to support the SEO keyword strategy
Manage email campaigns
- Suggest new campaigns, agreeing approach budgets and targets
- Use Zoho Campaigns to design, create and send email campaigns
- Maintain a consistent look and tone across all our email campaigns
- Report on open rates, click through rates, unsubscribes and bounces
- Review campaign results against target and make recommendations for future activity
- Become the email campaign expert, keeping up to date with email best practices, white-listing and maintaining deliverability
Internal marketing agency
- Provide an internal marketing function for the business
- Design Sales and Marketing collateral e.g. presentations, banner ads, posters, infographics etc
- Organise attendance at conferences and events, managing stocks of merchandise and exhibition materials
- Manage stocks of brochures, merchandise and student workbooks
- Work with the printer to maintain stock levels and organise the timely reprint of materials
- Attend Sales meetings and share marketing campaigns before they are dispatched
Continuous improvement and professional development
- Seek and suggest ways to improve our marketing and campaign processes, services and products
- Continue to keep skills and knowledge up to date, seek and suggest training and other personal development opportunities
The training you will be getting
A Multi-Channel Marketer (level 3) will learn how to effectively manage and execute marketing strategies across various channels. It suits those who want to develop skills in areas like content creation, campaign management, and data analysis. The programme is well-suited for graduates, marketing and comms assistants, marketing administrators, social media assistants and those looking to enhance their marketing expertise.
The training is one day per month at the Creative Process Digital training centre in Brighton and additional training days are delivered remotely.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
On completion of the apprenticeship the apprentice can progress into a full time marketing role.
