About This Role
In this pivotal position, you'll report directly to our Head of IT Services and play a vital role in maintaining and improving our facilities across the UK, ensuring they meet high standards of compliance and efficiency. Your leadership will guide a dedicated small team, fostering a collaborative environment aimed at achieving operational excellence.
Our facilities span several locations, including but not limited to London, Bristol, and various regional hubs, offering flexible hybrid working arrangements after initial on-site training.

What You Will Achieve
- Implement and oversee comprehensive facilities management strategies to ensure efficient operations.
- Lead projects focused on facility improvements, renovations, and compliance upgrades, applying effective project management principles.
- Maintain rigorous health and safety standards, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a culture of safety.
- Collaborate with vendors, negotiating contracts and managing relationships to ensure quality services and cost-efficiency.
- Champion sustainability initiatives, identifying opportunities to incorporate eco-friendly practices and materials.
Your Impact & Responsibilities
- Develop and manage operational budgets, optimising resources and expenses.
- Coordinate facility maintenance and repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Implement emergency preparedness plans, ensuring staff training and compliance.
- Guide and motivate your team, promoting a culture of teamwork, resilience, and adaptability.
- Overlook the procurement of services and supplies, ensuring the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
Skills and Attributes We're Looking For
- A track record of excellence in facilities management, including experience with regulatory and health & safety compliance.
- Technical knowledge, alongside NBOSH qualification and hands-on experience
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a creative approach to overcoming challenges.
- Excellent communication and vendor management skills, with a focus on building productive relationships.
- Proactive and resilient, with an outstanding attention to detail and a strong sense of adaptability.
- A commitment to sustainability, seeking innovative ways to reduce environmental impact.
- Effective time management and organisational skills, capable of prioritising tasks in a fast-paced environment.
