Location: Stafford
Salary: Up to £44,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Shifts: Monday to Friday
Hours: 7am-330pm (40 per week)
Contract: Temp-to-perm
The role: We are looking for an experienced chef manager to work with one of our clients on a temp-to-perm basis in Stafford ST18! This is a temporary position to start with, and if successful will become permanent after 13 weeks. The site has around 900 employees and operates over 7 days a week providing breakfast, lunch and evening meals.
Key responsibilities include: - General food preparation
- Managing a team of 10 + staff across different shift patterns
- Keep in line with budgets and financial targets
- Must be able to run a lone section of the kitchen
- Great communication and team work skills
- Oversee daily operations of the kitchen
- Ability to work under pressure
- Train and supervise all levels of kitchen staff
- Ensure all HACCP and allergen policies are met and completed accurately
Skills required:
- Food hygiene level 2 (dated within the last three years)
- Previous experience as a chef manager (minimum 5 years)
- Happy to clean any areas needed.
- Has excellent organisation and time-management skills
- Is able to use their own initiative and as work as part of a team
- Able to communicate/report any issues to the relevant people effectively
- Is hard-working, and reliable.
- Has experience in a similar role or similar environment
