Job description
We have an exciting opportunity for passionate, outcomes-focused candidates who would be interested in joining our team on a Full Time contract as a Team Leader for adults with complex needs and support the management of our brand new, bespoke supported living service in the heart of Mansfield town centre, Nottinghamshire. We have both days and nights positions available.
Ideally, you will have experience working in this or a similar sector and hold a recognised vocational qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. You will have supervisory responsibilities and therefore previous supervisory / management experience is essential. However, we would be eager to develop the skill set of the right candidate – if you have limited sector experience but feel your values are aligned, please get in touch with our recruitment team to discuss further. This service is designed to support five individuals who have Learning Disabilities and a history of mental health diagnosis, attachment and / or trauma. You will work in an newly developed, bespoke environment, supporting both male and female individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
A passion for supporting adults with complex needs and trauma backgrounds, supporting their recovery and improving their outcomes
A positive attitude, with fundamental values as mentioned above
Work effectively to lead the provision of care and support to ensure the individuals lead valued and fulfilling lives
Strictly adhere to professional boundaries and trauma informed support
You will be required to complete record charts, administer medication, and handle finances so good Maths and English skills are essential.
We are moving towards fully electronic systems; therefore you will be required to use IT systems as part of your role i.e. online training, payslip access, Workplace (our communications platform), digital support records.
Good observation skills, with the ability to accurately record incidents in a timely manner.
Provide specific management, support, advice and motivation to staff teams to ensure that the people who use our services are supported to be as independent as possible and achieve their goals.
In addition to the above, work collaboratively with staff and people supported – empowering them so their voices and ideas are heard. Ideally you will support the manager to lead reflective sessions with the team, to help staff learn and gain new skills.
You will be required to be fully flexible - we plan our rotas in advance and will try accommodate your commitments, but the service delivers support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Team Leaders are required to participate in the 24 hr on call rota. We also offer fully flexible casual worker agreements for support workers, where you can pick and choose shifts on “bank” that suit your availability
