Job description
As the SENCO/Inclusion Lead, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the provision for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring that all students have equal access to a high-quality education.

Position: SENCO / Inclusion Lead
Location: Basildon
Salary Scale: £160-£250 per day
Contract Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities: - As a SENCO you will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the school's SEN policy.
- Take responsibility for SEND/inclusion provision
- As a SENCO you will play a key role in school leadership and management
- Coordinate the identification and assessment of students with SEN.
- As a SENCO you will develop and implement effective strategies and interventions to support students with diverse learning needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to provide a holistic approach to inclusion.
- As a SENCO you will lead and participate in the annual review process for Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Provide guidance and training to staff on best practices for supporting students with SEN.
- As a SENCO you will liaise with parents and carers to foster positive relationships and ensure effective communication.
Requirements: - Be experienced /qualified/or be willing to train in the role of a Primary SENCO
- Proven experience as a SENCO or in a similar leadership role.
- Be an exemplary teacher
- In-depth knowledge of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- A commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity within the school community.
- Be committed to working in close partnership with parents, governors and the wider community.
