Support Worker in Ely, CB6
£11.42 per hour
About me
I am 7 years old (8 in October) and live with my family in Ely. I have a diagnosis of Autism, and also PICA (Pica - eating non-edible items (cambscommunityservices.nhs.uk)) and I am non-verbal. I would like support to go outside and have fun – walking, playing with water. I would like to go out after school during term time on a Monday and a Thursday for 2 or 3 hours each day. I do need support when I am out to keep me safe, and I need support with my personal care as I wear pull ups.
Hours and rate of Pay
4 hours a week preferably on a Monday and a Thursday after school, and during the school holidays this can be a little more flexible. Rate of pay: £11.42 per hour plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave (pro-rata) An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required.
What you would be doing
A 1-1 worker would enable me to go out into the community with support to have fun. I like being outdoors and walking and playing with water. I require support with my personal care tasks and prompts
The person I would like

It is very important that you are friendly and cheerful, you will also need to be flexible and punctual. You should have a good understanding and have experience of supporting young people with Autism. Be happy and willing to be interactive, you will be encouraging in order to improve and develop my play experiences. This is a very rewarding job with the opportunity to build up your own experience.
