A Vacancy at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Paediatrics Team based at both at Watford General Hospital and Hemel Hempstead Hospital. We are looking for a permanent Receptionist to join our team, working 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

We are a friendly hardworking team of administrative, nursing, and medical staff who take great pride in helping our patients and delivering the best service we can.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and committed candidate who will be working as part of our busy Paediatrics Outpatients Team.

The postholder will provide first-class reception services to patients and their parents / guardians. They will provide administrative support to the Children’s Service clinicians and other administrative and clerical workers, contributing to the overall efficient and effective running of all designated clinics.

The role comprises a wide range of specific duties and will require IT skills, together with good communication and organisation skills. The postholders must be willing to undertake any additional training necessary in order to fulfil the role.

You will be required to work at either Watford General Hospital or Hemel Hempstead Hospital.

Interviews will be held on Wednesday 3 April.

The role of the Patient Booking Assistant is key to ensuring our patients are supported and assisted from the contact they have within WHTH, to ensure an overall positive patient experience.

The postholder is required to provide a responsive call handling service, process referrals, book appointments, and provide patients with any information they need regarding our services at the Trust.
