Our client based in New Milton has a requirement for an experienced Operations Manager (Production) to join and provide leadership for their busy production team. The company are a family owned, award winning, environmentally aware business who are passionate about their people; the role requires a blend of planning, hands-on management and exceptional people skills and the key responsibilities will include:

• Management of staff, including hiring, training, and performance.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to Team Leaders to support them with managing their teams.
• Develop a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting skill development and career growth.
• Promote and lead a continuous improvement culture by setting performance improvement targets and encouraging change.
• Work alongside our management team to ensure targets are achieved/exceeded and jobs are completed to an acceptable standard.
• Manage and maintain strategic objectives, budgets, stock control and KPIS.
• Monitor and analyse growing efficiency, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Applicants must be passionate about people and growing their potential and must thrive in a unique and dynamic work environment. Recent management experience in a fresh produce and/or FMCG environment is essential as is a comprehensive knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvements; experience in horticulture would be a distinct advantage.

 
There is an immediate start available for this full-time and permanent position, the starting salary will be up to £45k per annum based on experience.
