Job Description
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Involved in various works programmes including reactive maintenance, void refurbishments and disrepair or planned works
- Provide commercial insight and strategy to ensure business effectiveness and financial efficiency is achieved
- Developing new ways of delivering the commercial approach to future contract performance and spend to support the contract partnership
- Control costs and monitor spend offering alternative solutions
- Review budget requirements and offer support and advice to relevant budget holder on requirements and current spend profile
- Review of subcontractor quotations to ensure value for moneyEnsure trade working capital is maximised including payments are received on time from the client and management of 3rd party costs

The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have the following experience/skillset:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent with a qualification in a relevant field such as quantity surveying or architecture (RICS)
- Ideally a background in Social Housing or for a tier 1 or 2 Contractor
- Experience managing workstreams that include planned works, voids, disrepair, reactive repairs
- Previous experience of using NATFED SOR codes, especially version 6
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
- Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to work
