Job description
I am seeking a compassionate and experienced personal care assistant to assist with my daily care. I require support with my morning and evening routines due to my inability to stand unsupported and walk. I am a friendly and sociable lady with a great sense of humour who values her independence. I am seeking a dedicated personal assistant to provide support in various aspects of daily living. As a personal assistant, your role will be pivotal in ensuring comfort and well-being. You will not be working alone; the primary caregiver will be available to assist as required.
This post can be considered a job share between two PAs. Location: PE 32 Job Description: Assisting in getting out of bed in the morning and ready for the day ahead. Support personal care routines, including washing, dressing, and managing toileting needs. Assisting with evening routines, including washing, changing into night clothes, and getting into bed I am unable to stand unsupported and cannot walk, necessitating the use of specialized equipment. Helping and supporting me to be independent. Offering companionship and emotional support to enhance my general wellbeing. Help and support in and around the house. Any other reasonable duties as requested. Person specification Essential: Full UK driving license holder with appropriate business insurance cover. I am experiencing forgetfulness, which requires a patient and understanding approach. The ideal candidate would require a calming, reassuring, Caring and Patience The person I employ, must have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of work including total respect for my privacy. If this position requires any of the following, the employee will be required to complete free annual training: Desirable: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred. Flexibility in working hours to accommodate the individual's needs. Summary terms and conditions The rate of pay for this position is £11.00 per hour. Hours and times of work: 8.5 Hrs Per Week, Time discussed further at interview. Morning Shift (30 minutes, 7 days a week) Flexible, between 08:00 am and 09:15 am, please, each day (flexible based on agreement). Evening Shift (45 minutes x 7 days a week) Flexible, between 21:00 pm and 22:00 pm, please, each day (flexible based on agreement). The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks. Free Care Skills training is provided to employed staff. Satisfactory references from two referees, one of whom must be your current or last employer.
