Puro Accountancy is pleased to assist an Accountancy firm located in Blackburn in their search for a full-time Accountant to become part of their experienced and growing team of accounting experts.
Responsibilities for the Accountant will include:
- Evaluating financial statements and tax calculations
- Compiling management reports
- Crafting statutory financial statements for non-audit tasks
- Formulating corporation tax calculations
- Developing tax computations for sole traders
- Collaborating on VAT return preparation
- Strategizing, overseeing, and finalizing audit documentation
- Supporting completion of audit tasks
- Contributing to miscellaneous projects as needed
To be considered for the role of Senior Accountant you will be/have:
- Hold an ACCA or ACA qualification
- Clear communication skills both oral & written
- Proficient understanding of UK Financial Reporting Standards
- Strong grasp of ISAs
- Sound understanding of personal income and capital gains tax affairs
- Comprehensive understanding of UK corporation tax calculations
- Thorough understanding of VAT regulations
- Dedication to continuous learning and skill development through various channels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, encompassing Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with software for statutory accounts preparation & corporation tax computations
- Familiarity with audit software
