Please refer to the job description for detail of this role: This is a clinically based role successful applicants will spend 80% of time in practice engaging with providing pastoral support/mentoring/coaching staff working in our mental health and learning disability services. Confidence to work with staff in a wide range of different areas is essential. You need time served experience of the care setting and knowledge of the Health Care Support role, excellent communication skills to guide, coach, mentor and support new HCSWs from their first day of employment and beyond. You will have in-depth knowledge of the Care Certificate or a thirst to develop knowledge quickly because part of your role will be to support staff to achieve the Care Certificate in their first three months. You will find it easy to build rapport and create effective relationships based on trust. You will be organised and proactive to finding new and creative solutions to deliver key elements of the project. You will demonstrate ability to mentor, coach, and deliver or facilitate training either 1-1 or in a group.
