Practice Type :
- A fully-independent RCVS SAGP-accredited small animal practice located on the beautiful seaside that is part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage site
- Truly independent - 100% owned by their own head vet with no sales targets and no restrictions on choice of medicines.
- Two well-equipped sites in glorious rural Devon, each with capnography, digital X-ray, colour doppler ultrasound, ECG, full in-house lab, digital tonometry, cloud PMS, and auto-stocking.
Team: They currently have 4 Vets (one of whom is working towards a CertAVP in Internal Medicine), 3 experienced RVNs with competent and understanding support staff including an SVN, ANA, receptionist, and their RVN practice manager supporting us. A family-feel team with a loyal client base. They support their colleagues and endeavor to provide gold-standard care to patients.
Duties :
- They allow clinical freedom to manage and work up your own cases with 20-minute consults as standard and support and training from experienced vets, should the need arise.
- They actively encourage medical/surgical development for all stages of your career with a generous CPD, travel, and accommodation allowance.
Role: Our client is seeking amazing new vet(s) as their growing practice they can accommodate anything from one morning a week up to full-time! They'll work with you to build the perfect bespoke package for you.

- They have full clinical freedom, with 20-minute appointments as standard and supportive colleagues including a medicine certificate holder.
- They're truly independent, being owned 100% by our own head vet, with no sales targets.
- Two superbly-equipped practices, each with capnography, digital X-ray, colour doppler ultrasound, ECG, full in-house lab, digital tonometry, cloud PMS and auto-stocking.
- They're launching a laparoscopic neutering service at their second branch in 2023, and are keen to meet vets who can carry out keyhole surgery, or who would like to learn.
- They actively encourage medical/surgical development for all stages of your career with a generous CPD, travel, and accommodation allowance of £1500+
- Close to Exeter airport and city centre, Exmouth's watersports hub, and the M5 motorway for easy access to Dartmoor national park, Cornwall, and North Devon beaches.
Candidate:
- Vets with at least one year’s experience in small animal practice in the UK, EU, USA, Australia, NZ, or similar.
- You should enjoy working in general practice and have the ambition to do the very best possible for your valued patients and clients.
- You should be competent in routine surgeries, consultations, and dealing with common emergencies.
- The ideal candidate would be a superb communicator, with a friendly personality who is enthusiastic, positive, and capable with a great sense of humour.
- A specific interest in Feline Medicine or Behaviour would be welcome as we aspire to achieve ISFM cat-friendly clinic status at their new premises.
- Permanent or fixed-period contract, full-time or part-time considered.
Salary: Is reflective of skills, experience, and hours -
- Salary without OOH: £35,000 – 50,000 depending on experience
- Salary with 1:4 OOH: £55,000 – 65,000 depending on experience
The Package:
- CPD allowance: £1500, with paid CPD days by arrangement
- One additional professional subscription,
- Optional bonuses for OOH call-outs.
