About Us

Aberdeen Cyrenians provide business support services under contract to Granite Care Consortium. We are now supporting them to recruit for a Senior Operations Coordinator. The position is employed by Aberdeen Cyrenians on their behalf and will be line managed by the GCC Operations Manager.

Granite Care Consortium (GCC) are ten local 3rd and independent sector companies - with decades of experience in delivering health and social care services. The consortium was set up to ensure availability of quality services, improve outcomes of those we support and to build a consistent trained and skilled workforce, in line with our shared values and ethos of Changing Care for Good.

GCC are commissioned by Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership (ACHSCP) to provide outcomes-based care and support services to adults in their own homes and local communities. Services which can assist with the achievement of agreed outcomes include personal care, housing support, skills development, social and carer support. Each person we support benefits from a person-led approach, as we work together to meet agreed outcomes, focusing on individual needs and goals in an enabling and encouraging way.
The Senior Operations Coordinator plays an essential role within the GCC central office team, providing administrative support to all ten providers.

Responsible to: Operations Director | Granite Care Consortium
Salary: SCP 34 – £30,348
Hours of Work: 36.25 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Location: Aberdeen City office-based

The Opportunity

As Senior Operations Coordinator, you will be a key contact between us and our customers (both internal and external). Ensuring that the customer is at the forefront of every interaction, you will manage communications and data relating to the delivery of care at home for people in the city of Aberdeen.

The role will involve but will not be limited to:

Handling calls and responding to email enquiries and requests from care management and other stakeholders.
Taking ownership of issues arising, resolving for oneself where possible and escalating when required.
Undertaking finance processing tasks.
Managing data, conducting analysis, and drawing conclusions for action and decision making.
Creating clear and concise reports, which are appropriate for the audience intended.
Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, that will exceed their expectations.
Deputising for other team members, as required.
Supporting the GCC team to ensure that performance standards and business objectives are met.

About You

You will be a confident and effective communicator who is driven to deliver results. You will also be/have:

Excellent administrative, planning, and organisational skills.
Team player with a go-getter attitude.
Proficient in problem-solving with a logical and calm approach.
Ability to multi-task and prioritise a varied workload, ensuring quality is never compromised.
Attention to detail and a ‘right first time’ approach.
Adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changeable demands.
Negotiation and influencing skills, to effectively represent a particular position on issues, gather support and buy-in from others and achieve outcomes that others can accept.
Intermediate / advanced computer skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft applications (particularly, excel).
Working knowledge of Xero, or similar accounting system
Knowledge / experience of health and social care systems and processes would be an advantage.
