Michael Page Technology are delighted to partner with one of the UK's largest pharmaceutical providers to support them with the recruitment of an IT Support Engineer, who can deliver a wide variety of technology projects into the business.
Job Description
What you'll be doing: As IT Support Engineer, you will have a wide range of projects and a varied day to day experience. You will need to have strong communications/stakeholder engagement skills in order to collect business requirements and design solutions that are innovative, fit for purpose and in accordance with business needs. You will be working with new technologies, supporting end users and ensuring IT add business value and ensuring solution delivery where needed. Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will research and evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for their use where this would add business value and will ensure that solution delivery is performed with agility balancing speed, quality, and value for money.
- It is essential that you are a problem solver who has proven experience in troubleshooting and producing detailed documentation.
- Manage varied projects on differing priorities/timescales.
- Provide technical expertise to the business across IT Support, Infrastructure and Networking.
- Have confidence in leading conversations with stakeholders to understand the challenges they face and how technology can provide a solution to them.
The Successful Applicant
Key Skills & Experience Required: You should have working experience of the majority of the following key areas:
- Windows server/desktop operating systems
- System and application deployment
- Process design and implementation
- Cloud services
- PowerShell scripting
- RDS and thin client environments
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
- MS SQL Server, MySQL
