Job description


The post holder will be a key member of the management team, who will be responsible for providing clinical and operational leadership and the overall planning, management and delivery of services within their designated pathways.

The role of each of the Service Manager is to help systematically improve and enhance the effectiveness, quality and safety of care provided within their area of responsibility, with the aim and ambition of these becoming among the best in the country.

The post holder will work in conjunction with the Associate Director of Operations, Associate Director of Operations for Safety and Quality and Professional Leadership and the General Manager for their area to lead the provision of efficient, effective and high quality professional and well, co-ordinated services which meet all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements ensuring alignment with the contracted activities of the Trust.

The post holder will contribute to the wider acute service management team providing cross cover when required, deputising for the General Manager and participating on the on-call rota.
