Job Advert Location Description About us Priory Hospital Burgess Hill has a new and exciting opportunity for you to join our Team; in September 2023 we opened a third ward which is a 10 bedded male adult PICU.
The hospital is currently split across three units:
- EA – male psychiatric intensive care ward
- AJ – male psychiatric intensive care ward
- MS – acute general adult male-only ward

Healthcare Assistants Burgess Hill is recruiting for Healthcare Assistants to join our dynamic and forward thinking team of professionals that include Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Social Workers and OTs. As a Healthcare Assistant you will work across the hospital under the supervision of a qualified nurse, supporting our patients in their recovery.
What we need from you: - Previous experience in a healthcare role (preferably mental health)
- Ability to keep calm in challenging situations
- An understanding of mental health conditions
- Resilience
- Encouraging and supportive approach
- A caring nature with strong listening skills
- Thrives within a team led environment
Skills and Knowledge - Good communication skills
- Ability to work flexibly
- Basic literacy skills
Qualifications - Education to GCSE Standard
- NVQ or equivalent would be an advantage
