Job description
We are looking for an Energy Engineer with experience in developing retrofit energy projects from conception through to delivery. Experience with energy savings technologies, renewable heating, renewable electricity generation and energy compliance would be preferable.
Key requirements of the role
- Experienced with electrical and mechanical systems.
- A solutions based approach to project development, taking a holistic approach to opportunity identification
- Experience managing the design of energy savings/renewable energy projects
- Experience engaging with both clients and supply chain.
- Develop scope of works and tender packages and manage the tendering process
- Develop energy savings calculations for projects in line with industry best practises.
- You will be asked to undertake site surveys for prospective projects
- Experience developing written proposals
- Support the operations team by offering technical support through project installation.
Who are we looking for?
Essential
- A relevant degree or significant heating design and installation experience
- Knowledge of the low carbon economy and experience in one or more of the following areas of activity: energy audits, building energy performance, renewable generation, and alternative fuels.
- A passion for sustainability and the environment
Preferable
- Experience with energy compliance such as ESOS/SECR
- 3+years working in energy project development
- Engineering degree in mechanical, building services or renewable energy disciplines.
