Sheridan Maine is proud to collaborate with our esteemed client in the search for a dedicated professional to join their team as an Accountant on a temporary basis.
Responsibilities of the Accountant will include:
- Prepare multi-branch management accounts, ensuring accuracy in profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Manage the preparation of VAT returns and statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Assist in preparing financial information for board meetings to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Contribute to budgeting processes and help forecast cashflow to maintain financial stability.
- Work closely with auditors to support the audit process.
- Maintain control account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
- Adhere to reporting timelines to ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial reports.
- Provide support in ad hoc reporting, addressing specific financial needs as they arise.
The successful Accountant will possess:- Strong basic accountancy skills, including preparation of trial balance.
- Strong communication skills, extending seamlessly to interactions with senior managing directors and non-financial management.
- Strong ‘customer service’ attitude.
