Job description

We are looking for a PMO Lead to provide oversight, governance, and management of our client's project portfolio to make sure it's aligned with the overall business strategy and objectives

Responsibilities

Establish the PMO strategy and enforce project management policies, procedures, and governance structures to ensure consistency and compliance across Portfolio projects

Conduct regular project reviews and audits to assess adherence to standards and identify areas for improvement

Oversee the allocation and utilisation of project management resources, ensuring projects have the necessary support to be successful

Optimise the use of tools, technology, and methodologies to enhance project management efficiency

Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the PMO and implement best practices and lessons learned from completed projects

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project status, risks, and issues

Ensure transparent and effective communication channels across the Portfolio Projects

Develop and implement risk management processes to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks

Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure the PMO function delivers an effective service

Essential Skills 

Experience in Senior PMO roles and the management of a Portfolio of projects across different business/IT functions

Experience of Waterfall and Agile methodologies and project governance

Experience of Capacity & Resourcing Planning
