In 2018, Self-Portrait's first flagship store opened on Albemarle Street in London. Working with Casper Mueller Kneer Architects, Han Chong ensured the architectural design of the store manifests Self-Portrait's insistence that quality experience and modern luxury should be within reach for all. Further stand-alone stores with the same concept subsequently opened in Bangkok, Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Shenzhen and Taipei, establishing the brand's global reach. In addition to its own e-commerce website, Self-Portrait is also sold in over 350 of the world's top retailers including Selfridges, Net-A-Porter, Matchesfashion.com, Harrods, Mytheresa and Galeries Lafayette.  

As Self-Portrait continues to expand its global presence, the PR department is seeking an experienced and strategic PR Manager to lead Public Relations efforts and contribute to the continued success and growth of the brand.

Job Overview:

The PR Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive public relations strategies that align with the brand's objectives. This role involves managing a team, building and maintaining strong media relationships, achieving press coverage and larger features and overseeing major PR campaigns and launches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic PR plans with PR Director to enhance the brand's visibility and reputation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align PR strategies with overall business objectives.
• Oversee the planning and execution of major PR campaigns including collection launches, events, social media and collaborations.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media contacts, editors, influencers, industry leaders and external partners.

• Lead the pitching and securing of media coverage in top-tier outlets.
• Have a track record of achieving impressive press coverage and features.
• Manage and mentor the PR team, providing guidance on day-to-day activities and career development. Coordinate team efforts to ensure the successful execution of PR initiatives.

Qualifications:

• 5 years+ proven experience in a PR management role within the fashion industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of current fashion trends and industry dynamics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and PR software/tools.
