As the QSys Specialist, you will implement the processes and support the continued development and maintenance of Axon’s Quality Management System and certification to relevant Quality System standards. What You’ll Do
Location: Daventry, UK
Travel required: 10-20% potential travel
Reports to: Sr. Quality Systems Manager
- Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Axon’s Quality Management System
- Lead and support the planning and performance of ongoing internal quality audits of the QMS
- Lead and support the corrective and preventive action management of internal and external QMS findings:
- Issuing corrective actions as necessary
- Driving root cause and corrective action with process owners
- Assisting with the closure and follow up of associated corrective & preventive actions
- Performing Follow-up audits on to verify corrective action effectiveness
- Work with cross functional stakeholders and process owners in the creation of the procedural documentation, and maintenance thereof, of business processes in support of the QMS
- Coordinate and support the planning, preparation, execution and follow up of periodic management reviews
- Lead and support periodic third party QMS audits from planning, preparation, execution and follow-up
- Raise awareness of QMS and Quality Policy and its effectiveness to the organization
- Working with process owners to develop improved process metrics & driving improvement
- Training of cross-functional leads in the performance of internal audits and in the interpretation of the ISO9001 standard
- Provide training of QMS to new hires, as needed
- Lead and act as the local SME for document control initiatives and responsibilities for the Daventry, UK and Frankfurt, DE sites (and other possible European locations)
- Support other Quality Management System initiatives, as required
What You Bring
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience
- Proficient ability to quickly learn the use of enterprise/business tools and PC applications. Prior experience as an internal quality auditor to ISO 9001 standard
- ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
- Process thinker that can apply their knowledge of quality management systems to create and implement effective solutions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritizes matters of competing importance, and effectively uses available resources to meet time constraints
- Excellent organizational skills
- Detailed oriented with strong initiative and follow-through
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, especially in the realm of process documentation writing
- The ability to influence others, present effective arguments and prompt others to act in a positive productive manner
