Job description

Our client in North Yorkshire is looking for a Mixed Vet Locum to join their team, however, they can be flexible and offer this to a Farm Animal only vet.

Ideally, they're looking for someone to work full-time, however, part-time applicants will also be considered. There is a 1:4 on call rota and weekends to cover which may be negotiable for the right candidate.

This work is available ongoing with immediate start, although the team is able to manage until the New Year.

 
Large animal work duties include:

 
-Some fertility work both dairy and beef
-Sick farm animals 
-Calving's / caesareans / prolapses
-Lambing's / caesareans / prolapses
-TB work - if qualified for this
-LDA / RDA ops
-Other farm ops eg fistulas / hernias
- Castrations / dehorning 
-Small amount of small holding work - goats / alpacas / pigs
-Herd / flock health planning visits

 
Horses - not a lot of horse work - mainly vaccinations, some first opinion lameness, sick horses, colic's etc.
