Youth Mentors will join our vibrant team and play a crucial role in helping disadvantaged young people navigate life's challenges and unlock their full potential.
What will you be doing?We are looking for volunteers to join our vibrant team as a Youth Mentor and embark on an inspiring journey of making a real difference in the lives of socially excluded and disadvantaged young people. As a mentor, you'll have the chance to create a positive impact and be part of an amazing community.
We offer various roles to match your interests and skills:
*Issue-Based Mentor: Empower young people dealing with challenges related to race, identity, mental health, and more.
*Arts-Based Mentor: Nurture creative talents and help young artists develop their artistic aspirations.
*Careers-Based Mentor: Guide personal development, career goal setting, and business/enterprise ideas.
Responsibilities:
- Build meaningful relationships with your assigned young person.
- Provide expert mentorship and guidance tailored to your area of expertise.
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports for your mentee.
Training and Supervision:
You'll receive regular supervision and training from our qualified Lead Mentoring Coach.
What are we looking for?What We're Looking For:
- Undergraduates and graduates in Youth/Social Work, Arts (Creative Writing, Music, etc.), Business, or related disciplines.
- Skills and experience of working with young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with an eye for detail.
