Job description
Hi, we live in Needham Market and we're looking for someone to look after our dog when we're away for weekends, and possibly to be a regular walker too, proper commercial rates paid. Odin is a Bouvier de Flandres, a 40 kilo Belgian cow herding dog. He is affectionate, athletic and a lovely boy around the house once you get to know him, as many of our our family and friends have managed to do. He is also a 'lockdown puppy', so not wonderfully socialised, and he's a handful on a walk, frightened of bikes, joggers, zimmer frames (!) and anything out of the ordinary. And he does not suffer the barking of small dogs with any sort of patience, being very happy to get into a short, sharp fight if allowed. All of which means that we're looking for someone that's not intimidated by big dogs - he can definitely sense fear - and who can show Odin who's boss in a reasonable and non-abusive manner. If you're a dog trainer then so much the better, we're happy to pay trainer fees to get the right outcome, because we're really fond of him and would like him to be a little less like hard work. For those of you that feel the urge to reply with tips and suggestions for us to train him, thanks, we're both very busy and would ideally like an expert to make a decent job of training a handful like Odin. We also have a cat who is very self contained but will need feeding.
