SEN Teacher
Location: Primary School in Colchester

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our SENCO and other staff members to provide tailored support and instruction to students with special educational needs. As an SEN Teacher, you will develop and implement individualized education plans, deliver engaging lessons, and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
- Deliver differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Adapt teaching strategies and resources to support students' specific needs and abilities.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to assess students' needs and progress.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
- Attend SEN meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
Requirements: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably in a primary school setting.
- Strong understanding of SEN provisions and strategies to support students' learning and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to promoting inclusion and equality within the school community.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience when faced with challenges.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo checks).
