Building Surveyor Job in Sevenoaks, Kent

Building Surveyor job for a growing multidisciplinary consultancy based in Sevenoaks, Kent working on a mix of projects across residential, education and healthcare sectors in London and the Southeast. Offering a salary of up to £50k + Bonus + Travel + Excellent progression opportunities and support with RICS APC. You will be joining a growing consultancy with a strong pipeline of work in the public sector.

The consultancy offers a multitude of services to include project management, surveying, cost consultancy, and design management, and specialise in residential and affordable housing projects for developers, Housing Associations and Local Authorities and now expanding to education and healthcare projects. Made up of around 100 employees and 4 offices, they are continuing to grow with a strong pipeline of work across London and the Southeast and further afield across England.

Role & Responsibilities

- Building surveys for a range of buildings including high-rise residential buildings and subsequent contract admin and project management of remedial works

- Liaise with clients, residents, contractors, developers and Clerk of Works

- Develop an understanding of the requirements of the role of a Building Surveyor, completing works required by the Building Safety Act

- Diagnostic, building pathology and report writing for residential, education and healthcare buildings

- Understand and meet key deliverables based on clients' objective

- Support the preparation of the key building information and information required to complete a building safety case and audit and compliance trackers and logs, using appropriate software

- Assist with the delivery of the building safety case works including completing building safety case report

- Support the resident liaison process required to complete the works

- Take minutes in both internal and external meetings

- Assist with and understand the tender process and procurement of contractors and consultants.

Required Skills & Experience

- 2+ years' experience as a Building Surveyor

- Contract administration experience

- Remedial / refurbishment experience on largescale projects

- Experienced in diagnostic, building pathology and report writing

- Consultancy background

- RICS Accredited Degree

- RICS APC Pathway or just chartered

- UK Driving Licence and own car.
