What you'll be doing:
Contribute to the DeMellier’s business strategy from the production perspective.
- Manage the growing Production team, and production across our Europe teams, including;
- Manage all operations across raw materials production, finished goods, quality control and on time deliveries.
- Effective manage the overall Production process from timely planning, setting & managing the critical path, internal processes and production processes.
- Create the seasonal production calendar as well as the production orders per season that are sent to each factory.
- Work with PD to identify, test and produce with new factories
- Monitor and review the Production performance targets vs plan, ensuring delivery targets are achieved.
- Responsible for overseeing the orders of all finished goods and raw materials (4 Collections per year + Capsule Collections), ensuring they are delivered to targeted deadlines, and following DeMellier’s quality standards.
- Negotiate prices to achieve margin targets
- Effectively oversee the creation & management of all the POs and Book Ins in Zedonk wit all deliveries made.
- Responsible for training the Production & Development team on the use of the Budget Tracker file.
- Developing and managing the Budget Tracker & Stock Value
- Develop effective working relationships with suppliers
- Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, ensuring information flows between all Sectors especially with The head of Design and product development
Requirements
- Extensive experience in a similar role. Experience with leather handbag production would be ideal.
- Fluent in Spanish (to work daily with our Manufacturers). Italian would be a plus.
- Strong experience with finished goods, materials (leathers, fabrics & hardware), techniques and production processes.
- Strong experience with international factories and production management, raw materials quality, and lead times.
- Highly organised, independent and structured way of working.
- Very analytical, with strong excel skills. Knowledge of Zedonk would be a plus.
- Solution orientated, problem solver, flexible and adaptable.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
- Understanding and alignment with the DeMellier values.
- Willing and able to travel regularly within Europe to visit the factories and Lineapelle twice a year.
- Strong leadership skills, positive attitude & team player.
