Regional Asset Manager

Covering the North

£49,514 - £52,120 per annum plus Company car or Car allowance

40 hours per week

We have an opportunity for a Regional Asset Manager to join our Property Services leadership team. Property Services is responsible for delivering a high quality and cost effective property repairs, compliance and installation and estate services across the UK to mainly internal customers and additionally a small number of external clients. It is also responsible for operational Health and Safety of the service, including fire safety and delivering effective group wide asset management and reinvestment programmes.

The role of Regional Asset Manager will include:

• Manage the identification and delivery of targeted, value for money asset investment plans to ensure the ongoing fit for purpose nature of the stock
• Deliver investment, cyclical and compliance programmes within agreed budgets through effective financial management to achieve timely completion of projects
• Manage and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, identifying any shortfalls in service delivery and ensuring that they are dealt with appropriately.
• Encourage client involvement and feedback to ensure capital and revenue projects are accessible and responsive to customers needs
• Adopt a positive and proactive attitude in response to customer complaints and identifying any shortfalls in service delivery ensuring they are dealt with appropriately.
• Ensure investment works are compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements and make appropriate recommendations on changes that may need to be made mid-project to maintain full compliance and consistent delivery of services.
• Ensure routine stock condition surveys, inspections for complaints and legal notices are undertaken in a timely manner on targeted stock
• Ensure data regarding property assets is robust and well maintained and provides meaningful data when undertaking strategic property portfolio reviews

Skills and experiences:

• Building related degree, relevant professional qualification, qualified to RICS Associate status or similar
• Robust knowledge of building regulations, legislation and current practice
• Working knowledge of the construction and housing industries
• Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
• Thorough knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
• Proven experience of managing projects with strong project management skills
• Experience of Technical Report and Committee Report writing
• Good Technical Report and Committee Report writing skills
• Ability to present recommendations based on analysis, logic and evidence
• Experience of using stock condition software systems

• £49,514 per annum (rising to £52,120 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
