Job description
The role will be workshop based, and you will be required to assist members of our team in-house to produce bespoke metal fabrications
• Support the welders and Engineers in manufacturing
• Grinding and polishing of welds to a very high standard including graining of stainless steel to specific grit finish required for food and pharmacutical clients (Training will be given)
• Cutting and de-burring of stock materials and preparing them for welding
• Marking out and drilling holes
• Take deliveries
• Maintain a tidy workshop environment, sweeping up, including waste management as required
• Driving a counterbalance forklift to load and unload deliveries (Current License not essential and candidate can be put on a course)
• Load and pack goods for delivery
• Drive the company vehicles, and assist with collections and deliveries
• Support other team members as required
• Other duties as required, including labouring in our yard & workshop
You will require:
• Good practical skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and have the initiative to work alone.
• An interest or experience with metalworking
• The ability to work to a good level of quality
• Be punctual and reliable
• Pro active and positive attitude
• Good problem solving skills
• Ability to abide to health and safety requirements
