Project Manager (Financial Services)
Our client is a reputable insurance business who are currently seeking a Project Manager on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities include:
Scoping, Planning & Scheduling
Ensure scope is clearly defined and that project deliverables meet the business requirements and project objectives.
Develop and maintain the project plan from initiation to project closedown to ensure delivery within agreed timescales.
Business Benefit & Financial Management
Create, contribute to, or ensure there is a valid Business Case for all projects.
Monitor and maintain the project financials and change control where necessary, to ensure delivery within approved budgets.
Delivery, Communication & Resource management
Proactively manage issues to resolution, initiating corrective action as necessary to ensure the project remains on schedule and budget.
Ensure quality standards are met for all deliverables through business and system testing as appropriate.
Deliver effective change and configuration management through change control procedures and approvals.
Provide regular and appropriate communications within and external to the project team.
Report to the Project Board and ensure projects are managed within the constraints specified.
Stakeholder & Supplier Management
Identify and prioritise key stakeholder relationships clearly communicating and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Commercially manage any third party suppliers, ensuring quality delivery within budget and schedule.
Cultivate collaborative working, building successful relationships to deliver timely effective issue management and facilitating conflict resolution where required.
Governance
Deliver as required standard artefacts as defined by the project management methodology. (RAID logs, Plans, Workbook etc)
Provide timely management reporting via Project Status Reports and project summaries as required.
Skills/experience required:
3-5+ years in a Project Manager role is essential
Financial services background is essential, preferably Insurance or Broker environments
Strong knowledge of project management disciplines - Prince2, APM, Agile
Able to communicate well and present complex information to a range of colleagues and stakeholders, suppliers and partners
Passionate, assertive and confident
