Owing to an increase in numbers a friendly nursery in Bedford (MK41) is currently looking for Early Years Practitioners to join their expanding team.
The hours for this Early Years Practitioner role are Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours a week on a shift basis between the hours of 8am - 6pm. Part Time hours / a job share can also be considered.
To be considered for this Early Years Practitioner job candidates must have:
- A full and relevant level 2 / 3 or above qualification in Childcare / Early Years
- A good knowledge of the EYFS framework and Ofsted standards
- Previous nursery and keyworker experience
- Strong communication skills and able to work well in a team
- The ability to work under your own initiative
- Paediatric first aid is desirable (Tinies can assist)
- A clean enhanced DBS
Responsibilities will include:
- Planning and carrying out a wide range of activities indoors and outdoors
- General childcare duties
- Implementing the EYFS framework and carrying out observations
- Supporting a key group of children
- Working closely with parents and colleagues
- Attending team meetings and training days
- Actively engaging and supporting the learning and development of each child in your care
- Monitoring and recording children's progress, achievements and next steps
The salary being offered is £11.20- £11.60 gross per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
