Operational Finance Manager

Job description
The key purpose of the post is to oversee the day-to-day operation of the Trust's Finance function. You will manage the Trust's Finance team to ensure all aspects of financial transactional and reporting work are completed in an efficient and timely manner and ensure compliance with Trust financial policies and processes. As Operational Finance Manager based in knutsford, you will oversee the entire running of the finance function. Key duties will be:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and budgets
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Statutory accounts and liaising with auditors
- Annual budget preparation
- Work with budget holders to ensure they can effectively monitor and manage their budgets
- Provide financial support in answering queries from the organisation
- Production and submission of monthly VAT returns
- Attend governors meetings quarterly
- Produce reports, as directed by the Director of Finance, to drive continuous improvement and effective decision making by senior management, including relevant bench-marking data and key performance indicator information.
- Actively seek opportunities to improve processes across the Trust and areas where Finance can drive efficiency.
