Job description

As exclusive partner to Holtec Britain we’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer who will be responsible for helping to shape and manage the development and deployment of the SMR quality assurance arrangements, processes, and systems to meet nuclear design code and regulatory requirements, best practices, configuration control, and quality excellence.

Holtec International and its subsidiary companies are designing an unconditionally safe and secure source of clean energy, the SMR-160 small modular reactor. This position is offered by Holtec Britain as a member of the Holtec International family, a global turnkey supplier of equipment and systems for nuclear, solar, geothermal, and fossil power generation sectors of the energy industry. What will you be doing?

You will support the Corporate Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining Quality standards and ensuring compliance with QA documentation policies. Also, you will conduct internal process surveillance, oversee vendor compliance, and assist in developing and managing the quality assurance program. Foster stakeholder relationships will be also your focus, developing processes, and providing support to certification programs with a focus on detail and accuracy.

For this role you will need:

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Science or related discipline.
• Desirable experience in the nuclear industry and in ASME design code.
• Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
• Able to communicate with impact and experience of managing and influencing interfaces with engineering disciplines with minimal supervision.
• The ability to work independently and balance competing priorities
• Strong interpersonal skills which you’ll put to use both within and outside of the business
• Eligible to work under 10 CFR Part 810.
