We are currently looking for a Principal Traffic Engineer to join our team based at our Slough office. What you will be doing:
* Ensuring that projects are managed within their respective budgets
* Co-ordinating the issue of invoices and ensure the clients requirements are fulfilled
* Preparing proposals and estimates for new work
* Project managing/directing projects in accordance with Client requirements
* Providing technical direction on projects and high level advice on complex technical issues
* Contributing to the management of the Traffic Engineering Team
* Responding to Client and customer requests and enquiries and ensuring that their needs are met
* Working collaboratively with marketing and business development activity for the business unit
* Actively selling other aspects of Project Centre to Clients
* Managing a team of 4 employees of varying degrees of seniority
* To be the Client's primary point of contact for projects managed within your business unit

What we are looking for:
* Relevant Degree or equivalent
* Alternative consideration given to significant relevant experience in lieu of specified education and professional qualification
* Comprehensive understanding of traffic and transportation techniques, highway design and transport planning principles and a proven track record in project design and delivery
* Preferably conversant with and/or intermediate user of CAD design software
* Good understanding of traffic and highway legislation
* Comprehensive knowledge of relevant technical / industry / TfL standards
