We are currently seeking a Primary Intervention Teacher to join our partner school in Newham. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational progress and well-being of the pupils. You should have a good knowledge and understanding of the curriculum and demonstrate a complete commitment to the safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils. As part of our energetic and welcoming team, you will enthuse and motivate students to strive for success while maintaining a healthy learning environment for all children within the school.
The role - Provide pastoral care and support to children within a secure learning environment
- Assist with the development of a child\'s personal, social, language and physical coordination abilities
- Encourage mathematical and creative development through stories, songs, games, drawing and imaginative play
- Work with others, including teaching assistants, and nursery nurses as well as volunteer helpers, to plan and coordinate work both indoors and outdoors
- Share knowledge gained with other practitioners and build and maintain relationships with parents
- Ensure the health and safety of children and staff is maintained during all activities, both inside and outside the setting
- Attend staff meetings and staff training days
- Keep up to date with changes in the curriculum and developments in best practice
- Address the cultural or special needs (emotional, physical, or educational) of the class
- Create a high quality, rich, stimulating and enabling learning environment containing items that will capture pupils' attention and lead to independent exploration
- Maintain good organisation and accurate assessments so that they offer a clear record of pupils' progress and complete a profile for each child
The requirements
- Must possess QTS
- Support children with special academic, social, and behavioural needs
- Have a valid in-date Enhanced DBS (preferably on the Update Service)
