Job Title: Appliance Service Engineer
Reporting to: Appliance Manager
Hours of Work:
Permanent full time position working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays.
Main Purpose of Job:
Appliance Service Engineers provide service, repair and installation of the full range of kitchen appliances in our customers’ homes and premises. As the front line of our delivery and after care function you will offer excellent customer service and high levels of support.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Delivery of kitchen appliances to customers’ homes and premises.
• Repair, service and installation of kitchen appliances.
• Carry out testing to ensure accurate fault diagnosis.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, delivering high standards of customer service.
• Complete the required number of service calls per day as directed by the Appliance Manager.
• Ensure satisfactory levels of van stock at all times.
• Coordinate with Appliance Manager in order to ensure effective planning, organisation and delivery of service call schedule.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required paperwork and reports.
• Adherence to health and safety practices and procedures.
Key Skills / Attributes:
• Full clean driving license.
• Good technical knowledge of kitchen appliances (refrigeration, wet products, gas).
• Technical and problem solving skills.
• Good communication, listening and customer service skills.
• Trained in gas and refrigeration. (Preferred but not essential)
• Knowledge of electrical theory and safe working practices.
