The school are looking for excellent teachers and practitioners who have a love of learning, energy, enthusiasm and resilience who specialise in supporting students who are disengaged from mainstream education, or those with additional needs: Social, Emotional, Mental Health/and Behavioural Needs to work in their amazing SEN provision.
****Experienced Unqualified English Teachers and Tutors will also be considered*****
The successful applicants will have:
- QTS/QTLS or equivalent.
- Previous teaching/tutoring experience (key stage 3 and above).
- Previous experience teaching pupils with Special Education Needs including Learning Difficulties.
- Knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4, and of writing lesson plans, developing resources and assessing students' work.
- Significant knowledge and experience of working with pupils who have complex mental health needs and challenging behaviour (ideal - not essential).
- The ability to effectively manage pupil behaviour during lessons.
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, staff and parents/careers.
- Hold an enhanced Child and or Child & Adult barred list DBS certificate.
The role will include, but not be limited to:
- Teaching students on GCSE English and Functional Skills Entry Level, Level 1 and 2, and ESOL courses.
- manage a class size of 10 students
- Supporting existing staff in the development of the curriculum and new projects
- Tracking student progress on a regular basis.
- To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated learning area as appropriate.
- To provide, monitor and evaluate an appropriate curriculum to meet pupils' needs.
- To write and review students' Individual education plans (IEPS).
- To ensure that Special Educational & Mental Health Needs are recognised, assessed, and met.

- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
