THE ROLE
The SharePoint/Power Platform Developer will work in the Business Systems team with an expanding portfolio of applications and business requirements to support.
This role provides vital support at a developer level for SharePoint, Power Automate, Power apps and other Forms. The upcoming adoption of an Enterprise Information System will see further reliance on SharePoint for document management and further integration with Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform. This role will also help to support and facilitate this integration.
The Developer will cover the entire spectrum of application development:
- Requirements capture and confirmation
- Estimate level of effort required for all design, development, deployment, and testing
- Create and update wireframes, mock-ups, Use Case Diagrams, and Flowcharts.
- Create fully deployable and supportable solutions for all custom code applications.
- Develop documentation to include test plans/design documents and end-user documentation.
- Training of end users including superusers
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- SharePoint Development, including customised code, creating /modifying web parts, SharePoint workflows, and applications from the Power Platform suite.
- Software Development Lifecycle Process and delivery methodologies (may include SDLC, Agile, SCRUM, Lean etc.)
- Power app and Power Automate development, experience with a variety of form builders
- Mentoring/training junior IT staff on proper practices and procedures relating to M365, SharePoint & Power Platform apps.
- End to end software development including unit testing, system testing, functional testing, user acceptance testing, deployment, and support.
- Supporting an organisation that deploys SaaS and uses Office 365
- Supporting end users with Incidents relating to Flows, Power Apps and SharePoint and using a ITSM to manage tickets.
- Developing test plans and testing new functionality
- Advising business users of opportunities for process automation and improvement via MS Tools
Essential:
- Ability to read & write SQL
- Experience in developing Power automate flows and Powerapps
- Experience of advanced SharePoint configuration and modern SharePoint
Desirable:
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 + Power Platform Solution Architect
- Microsoft Certified – Power Platform Developer Associate
- Microsoft 365 Certified – Developer Associate
- Experience of developing training material
- Experience in defence or secure environment
- Degree in IT or engineering associated subject.
