The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2/3 years experience, willing to take on more responsibilities over time, making this a fantastic opportunity for any experienced accounts assistant wanting progression.
Key skills required for this role will include:
- Reconciliation of bank accounts
- Daily invoicing and the coding and posting of invoices
- Calculate various monthly and quarterly rebates and update spreadsheets
- Check, reconcile and submit the VAT returns
- Account Management
- Preparing VAT returns
- Purchase order and supplier payments
- Sales/Purchase and nominal ledgers
- Journals, spreadsheets
- Assist preparing for Trial Balance
Payroll:
- Prepare and process payroll on a monthly basis
- Inputting timesheets and transactions on to the bespoke payroll database
- Processing starters and leavers
- Resolving payroll queries
- Processing statutory payments
- Submitting information to HMRC
- Processing and submitting pension data
- Rolling back and correction of payroll when necessary
- Compiling monthly payroll information
Key attributes include:
- AAT or qualified by experience
- Manage & prioritise own work load effectively with very little supervision
- Manage deadlines/targets
The successful candidate will be highly IT proficient including Excel, good attention to detail; team fit is paramount, along with flexibility.
