Job description

We are looking for a fabulous, energetic, and self-directed Live-In Housekeeper/Nanny for a family based outside of London in Burnham. This family of five are looking to hire a hardworking and professional Housekeeper to help maintain a high level of cleanliness in their lovely home and provide child care to their youngest child who is 4 years of age.

Our clients are looking for someone who has exacting standards, a positive and pleasant demeanour, and the ability to work autonomously. As an experienced Housekeeper, you will have in-depth knowledge and experience of all household cleaning duties, including having knowledge of how to care for high-end surfaces such as marbles, woods, and silver. You will also be responsible for the household’s laundry and ironing as well as taking care of their lovely child.

Further duties will include driving the middle child to and from afternoon activities and school bus pick ups, occasionally cooking for the children, running errands for the family when required and grocery shopping. The family do have 2 dogs so the ideal candidate would need to be pet friendly.

There is accommodation provided on the property with a private bedroom, bathroom and tv room for the successful candidate. Working Monday to Friday, typically from 10:00-12:00 & 14:00-19:00, however, flexibility will be required as you may need to do some babysitting in the evenings - working hours will be adjusted for that.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Laundry and ironing
• Daily cleaning including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, changing beds, cleaning bathrooms, kitchen, living and dining areas
• Caring for high-end surfaces with delicate finishes
• Managing stocks of cleaning products and grocery shopping
• Cooking for the children and babysitting when required
• Grocery shopping and running errands
• Be flexible with the varying daily schedule and become an asset to the family
• Be proactive in communicating with parents to ensure their needs are being met

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior housekeeping and childcare experience in a private household
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• Fluency in English
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Hardworking, flexible and dedicated
• High attention to detail
• Excellent checkable references
• DBS check or willingness to obtain one
