Job Description
The important work you will be doing:
- Lead advisory projects to provide exceptional advice and support to our clients, including reorganisations, business sales, EMI and other share scheme advice, EIS advice, valuations, and other critical work-streams.
- Handle cross-border tax considerations.
- Contribute to wider tax considerations such as capital gains tax, international PAYE, SDLT, stamp duty, and inheritance tax in relation to corporate-focused planning.
- Manage enquiries into corporation tax returns, group loss relief claims, loan relationship queries, and other related matters.
- Participate in R&D relief claim projects.
- Liaise with HMRC, clients, and third parties as necessary.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior members of the corporate tax team.
- Engage in business development activities, including contributing to the firm's external technical marketing and attending certain events (if desired).
The Successful Applicant
The skills, experience, and qualifications you will bring:
- ATT/ACA/CTA or a similar professional qualification.
- Relevant post-qualification experience in a role with significant corporate tax advisory exposure.
- Exceptional knowledge of UK corporate client tax.
- Proven ability to develop new business from existing or new clients.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated commercial approach to resolving issues.
- Willingness to voice opinions constructively and meaningfully.
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Passion for providing excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate must have experience in a role with substantial corporate tax compliance and/or advisory exposure. Additionally, excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines are essential.
