Job description
We are recruiting for a (Senior) Financial Analyst for UK and Ireland (based at our office in Solihull) to enable CRM commercial and financial leadership to drive systematic data support and data-based decision-making, including sales and margin analysis, cost management as well as cash-flow activities.
Acting as a business partner to commercial managers and support functions, the (Senior) Financial Analyst will be involved in bonus calculations, driving forecast accuracy, transparency, and standardization, and driving additional projects with business leaders to drive their area of responsibility forward financially.
EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES
- Relevant degree
- Prior experiences should have been gained in product-related industries, preferably in a Sales & Marketing context. MedTech industry experience is a plus.
- Proven mastery on large data handling and tool-driven data analysis.
- Advanced experiences on Excel and established data-cube system (Hyperion, Dodeca, etc.). SAP capabilities are critical to lead/challenge technical experts through process change.
- Knowledge of data visualization software is a plus.
- Proven analytical skills at senior management level
- Similar work experience in an international corporate environment
- Excellent commercial business acumen
- Some accounting experience to have a sensitivity on what is possible and appropriate from a financial compliance perspective.
- Team player within a matrix organization design
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a trusted business partner at all commercial levels of measurable value creation within their area of responsibility
- Work with large, complex data sets and support/complete implementation of data solutions that help predict, improve, and measure the success of key business outcomes.
- Provide support to General Managers, Regional Managers, Commercial Managers, and Marketing Managers in the definition of new strategies and tactics to ensure market penetration, profitable sales growth, and bottom-line focus
- As part of the role of a Senior Financial Analyst, they also engage or drive projects and make proactive suggestions to the business leaders to drive their area of responsibility forward financially.
- Develop tools and run reports to provide analysis to management among all Business Units in relation to region plan setting, territory management, forecasting, and other sales and marketing analysis.
- Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills focused on data deliverables in a way that lays the groundwork for future successes.
- Organise and maintain a system with all relevant data easily accessible to management, which allows interaction with colleagues or third parties
- Ensure that best operating and control processes are in place in order to timely and effectively gather information from sales and marketing as required
- Support cyclical processes including as examples LBE, month end, customer rebates, and commission calculations
- Participate to ad-hoc projects at management requests.
